Omni mobile wallet redesign.

Project Overview

Omni is a mobile crypto wallet for managing digital assets, transferring funds, and buying and cashing out crypto across multiple blockchain networks.

The redesign focused on organising these journeys into a consistent mobile experience, with clear access to balances, assets and transaction details.

My work covered the visual concept, user flows, wireframes, final UI and reusable components across the wallet’s core journeys.

Starting Point

Omni’s existing wallet combined asset management, staking and NFT features. As the product’s positioning and functional priorities evolved, the client initiated a redesign to reflect the new direction.

My task was to reorganise the core wallet journeys, establish a clearer hierarchy around balances and primary actions, and develop a consistent visual language supported by reusable components.

Concept & Process

Visual Concept

I explored several versions of the home screen, comparing the prominence of the balance, the placement of primary actions and navigation, and the use of colour. The selected direction became the visual foundation for the remaining screens.

User Flows

I mapped the main journeys to define how users would move between screens and complete each task. I used AI to draft the flows, then refined them through prompts and reviewed the steps and transitions before moving into detailed screen design.

Wireframes & UI

I used AI-assisted wireframes to draft the content and layout of individual screens, refining them through prompts before applying the approved visual direction. I then developed the detailed UI and reusable components to keep controls, navigation and visual hierarchy consistent across the app.

Final Design

Wallet Overview

I organised the wallet around three levels: the overall balance, the asset list and individual asset details. Primary actions sit alongside the balance, while dedicated screens provide more detailed information about holdings and activity. This keeps the starting point focused while making further details accessible.

Transactions

I structured the buying and cash-out journeys into focused steps, from entering an amount and choosing a payment method to comparing providers and tracking progress. Provider options show the amount received, fees and estimated delivery time together, helping users compare the trade-offs before continuing.

Outcome & Reflection

The redesign brought the wallet’s core journeys into a shared visual system. I extended the approved home-screen concept into detailed screens for managing assets, transfers, buying and cashing out crypto, supported by reusable components.

Omni launched with a redesigned mobile interface, bringing asset management, transfers, crypto purchases and cash-outs into one consistent wallet experience.

My Contribution

  • Explored home-screen concepts and developed the final visual direction.

  • Mapped user journeys and refined AI-assisted flows and wireframes.

  • Designed the detailed UI across the wallet’s core scenarios.

  • Built reusable components to maintain consistency across screens.

Lessons Learned

  • Defining the visual direction early gave the remaining screens a clear foundation.

  • AI-generated drafts needed careful review of content, steps and transitions.

  • Reusable components helped carry the approved direction across different workflows.
